The Cheater Remodel

Today's post will provide you with a few tips to update your home without breaking the bank.

For those of you who are home owners, you and I both know that it's very easy to just replace what you don't like with something new. Honestly, in almost every case it seems like that's the only option available. For example, if your appliance colors don't match the first thought that comes to mind is usually "let's buy something new." This may sound funny, but they now make high-heat spray paints to change the look of standard appliances. Compare it to getting your car painted, except it's a lot cheaper and can be done by you.

Here are a few more tips to help you update your home "on the cheap."

Great suggestion. I'm a home stager in the Chester County area and recently painted a white stove and refrigerator with stainless steel paint. It looked fabulous and really made a positive impact on the kitchen. The paint is Thomas' stainless steel paint. The only caution is that it takes several thin coats of paint so allot several days to get the job done. Much cheaper than buying new appliances!
