I've been thinking about buying some land as an investment.  While going through Trulia, I came across this piece of land in Ralls, TX. For $2,000, I could get a third of an acre in this cute farming town only 1 hour east of Lubbock, TX.

Check it out and let me know what you think about my thoughts on investing in this property.

  • Apartment Shopping in San Francisco, CA

I'm in the market to rent an apartment in San Francisco, CA. I just moved here from White River Junction, VT and am really excited about city life. My girlfriend and I spent some time last night checking out places throughout San Francisco.

We looked in Hayes Valley, Richmond, SOMA and near the CalTrain Station. Richmond and Hayes Valley sported older buildings with a lot of character. I really liked how some of the apartments in Hayes Valley were nestled nicely into communities of small galleries and restaurants. We also checked out a few "luxury apartments" near the CalTrain station. While they may not be in our price range right now, it was still fun to look and see what's out there.

I'm hoping we can make a decision on a place by the end of next week. It's really excited starting life in a city with so much to do and so much going on. We'll see where it all goes!

If you have any thoughts about living or renting in San Francisco, please share as I always love to hear new ideas and prospectives.
