Lighted Boat Parade on the Peace River

The annual lighted boat parade in Charlotte Harbor will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 starting at 6:00 p.m.  The best places to view the parade are from Edgewater Lake in Charlotte Harbor, Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, the US41 bridges and Laishley Park Marina.  You can bring your chairs to all locations except for the bridges. 

Boats parade through the Peace River with extravagant holiday decorations, holiday music and good cheer from the participants.  Bring your family and friends and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday.  Plan to arrive early to select your spot for this festive occasion.

If you are planning to participate in the lighted boat parade you must register and attend a mandatory Skipper’s meeting on December 12, 2012 at Laishley Park Municipal Marina at 7:00 p.m.  If you are a spectator there is public parking at Fishermen’s Village, Five Star Realty/Sandstar, Visual Arts Center, Laishley Park Municipal Marina and Charlotte County Justice Center.
