Bessie Branham Playground is part of a wonderful park in Historic Kirkwood GA, and during the summer we enjoy taking a picnic out on Wednesday nights (staring at 5:30) and joining our friends! (See our Historic Kirkwood Neighbors' Page about the weekly event that runs through the end of August!) It's so much fun to see the kids and dogs running around in the summer.The Park, considered by most part of the "Heart" of Historic Kirkwood, also hosts the annual Kirkwood Spring Fling! This is a huge event in our community - and if you would like to volunteer for next year's festivities, please click here.
Bessie Branham Playground is located on Delano Ave., and if you are new to Kirkwood, and Google it... you might be surprised that you can't find it on the map! That's because Atlanta claims this park! Here's a map I created, parking is relatively easy.
