    Economy

It seems that everyone is scared of selling their homes in todays market. That is what I hear from everyone whom I give a business card to asking if they or if anyone they know will be selling or purchasing a home in the near future. I have to be honest with them. This is not a good time to sell your home. However it is the best time for purchasing a home. Something a lot of us in the North Central TX area need to realize is, our economy here, is not as bad as it is in other parts of the country. The reason for this is the Oil and Gas Companies are in here paying really big bonus bucks to everyone for the oil and gas leases. One neighborhood over near the White Settlement area received $25,000 signing bonuses from XTO. Here in our neighborhood, we were offered $22,500. I really don't think that people in our area have to much to worry about. I forgot to mention that that was per acre. So for the people who have a lot of acreage, they are doing really good right now. For that reason I believe that the market values for our homes are going to come back up really quick. I was wondering what everybody else thought? Do you think that the market values are going to shoot back up fast? Or do you think we are in for a really long buyers market?
