In his State of the State address the Governor proposed setting aside $200M for $10,000 tax credit for California First Time Homebuyers. A similar $10,000 tax credit for new construction homes last year increased sales activity and helped deplete the glut of unsold inventory of newly constructed homes last year, until the fund ran dry.
The possibillity of a combined total of $18,000 tax credit will certainly bring out home buyers in droves.
Way to go Governator, leave the office with a bang!
