dates have been set; Milford Music Festival returns on June 6th &
7th. Featuring a broad range of musical acts, this years event
continues to be the Tri-state region's premier FREE family-friendly
festival, set in the charming town of Milford, PA.
Singer, songwriter, pianist and Milford-native Vanessa Carlton will
return home on Saturday June 6th to perform a program produced
specifically for this event. Best Known for 2003s Grammy nominated Song
of the Year 'A Thousand Miles' and the local debut of songs from her
most recent album Heroes & Thieves, Ms. Carlton will take
center stage behind a Yamaha baby grand piano, backed vocally by select
students from Delaware Valley High School.
Other performances scheduled for the festival include Traveling Man, a
high-energy blues band featuring frontman SaRon Crenshaw. Percussion
driven act Roots N Rhythm features Bashiri Johnson, a nationally
acclaimed recording artist and fellow Grammy nominee, recognized for
his work with Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, Miles Davis, The Rolling
Stones and Jay Z as well as the soundtracks of "Mission Impossible" and
"The Bodyguard". Partnered with Jah Stix, the set is sure to enliven
Ann Street Park and get festival goers grooving. Woodstock area's
drinkinbuddy, a Tribute to Noel Coward (as performed at The National
Arts Club in NYC), and performances by the DV Jazz Band (with vocals by
noted singer Natasha Green), DV Orchestra and the DV Choir round out
the list of Saturdays mainstage program.
On Sunday, the mainstage will come alive at 2PM. Presented by Music In The Park (www.milfordmusic.net) as their summer-series kickoff, the Ann St Mainstage will feature 3 performances and wind down the weekend at 5PM.
Street Park (located at 5th & W. Ann Streets) is home to the
mainstage on Saturday and Sunday. 7 acts will perform on Saturday's
mainstage, with a lunchbreak between 1 and 2:30 (a chance to discover
Milford's many eateries, ice cream shops, and bakeries). Throughout
town, restaurants and shopkeeper will host sidestage performances and
entertainment all weekend long. The town-wide Sidewalk Shopping
Festival will have the streets abuzz with a treasure trove of
excitement. Afterparty events keep the music going well into the night
in Milford's many terrific eateries. Make it a full weekend wih an
overnight stay in one of the areas great B&B's, inns, resorts or
