Local Georgetown and Taylor School Districts Score High Marks

Summer will soon be coming to an end, and students across the area will be heading back to school. The quality of schools in an area is something that many parents look into prior to buying a home in the area. The Texas Education Association recently released its latest standing on schools throughout the state of Texas. Georgetown ISD received a Recognized rating and Taylor ISD received an Academically Acceptable rating.

Georgetown  ISD ‘s Recognized rating is a step up from last year's rating of Academically Acceptable. Ford Elementary received an Exemplary rating, and 16 other campuses in the school district received a Recognized or Academically Acceptable rating.

Taylor  ISD’s rating remained the same as last year with an Academically Acceptable rating. Taylor’s Middle School saw an increase in their status when they increased to a Recognized status from its Academically Acceptable rating of last year.

The schools your children will attend play an important part in choosing where to live. The surrounding Austin area has some great schools. Contact the Shane T.
