Readers Digest just wrapped up their 'We hear you America contest" and Congratulations Manchester Nh , you came in 9th place.

The even better news is they are starting a new contest where we can try and move on up to the number 1 spot.

Simply click the link below, type in Manchester, NH and "CHEER" for Manchester NH.

Register and you could win a new RV!!!!!

Please go back DAILY and you can hit the CHEER button 10 times a day!!!!

I was asked to submit a story on why Manchester is one the greatest places to live and what would i do with this donation.

First thing is if the "powers to be" read this, i would volunteer to be on the committee that gets to decide what to do.

There have been many great ideas but some of them are short sighted such as flowers and landscaping which would look nice at first, but then die amd the moneys gone. I love dogs but no offense dog owners, we need to take care of our kids before building another park. The numerous Water works trails around the lake make a great walking trail for my 4 legged friends.

    What makes us great?
scott godzyk,One of the best places to live in the Country as named by Money magazine. Born and raised here and a local business owner, i am heavily involved in kids activities, sports programs and non profit groups. Anything won should go to the schools, not to landscaping or the dogs. Kids are our future. They deserve the best we have. I would not put it towards the general fund or towards paying debt. Parent teacher groups deserve the funding. Buying books and things to improve our childrens education.

    Thank you All....

Before the superbowl festivities kick off this afternoon, at 12 noon sharp teh horn will sounds and hundreds and hundreds of people in waves will be jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach.

The plungers will get dressed up in their favorite costumes and gather for a costume pasrade before the plunge. Spectators will gather in the thousandds. Upon checking the Ocean temp this morning, it comes in at  39 degrees.

Now do not think you can get there at 1155am , sit in your car and watch. The beach will be packed, parking will be a chore with all the snow taking up most of the spaces, SO get there early, afterall this will be the warmest day in weeks

For more info go to  www.SoNH.com

I will load all my pictures when i get back...

It is that time of year again, The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is almost here. As of today 5 days left and counting...This year it is September 10-12, 2010.

Kicking off on Friday night, over 50 local restaurants show off their best and "famous" favorite Seafood dishes. Accompanied by a craft fair, childrens area, live entertainment, a beer tent, and fireworks Saturday night. Dont worry land lubbers... there is non seafood too....

Ocean blvd is closed off to traffic and becomes the area's largest pedestrian mall. If you have never been, this is where people come from near and far. I can not wait... See you there....

Another reason why New Hampshire is  a great place to live, visit and play!
