Entertainment options like theaters and restaurants will be very close to your home. However, urban neighborhood can prove to be noisier and have higher crime rates. Additionally, these are more expensive to buy.

The third type is the cul de sac kind. This is usually like a dead end type of street with a turning to the parallel street at the end. This is a great choice if you have children and it is not noisy and offers lots of space. You’ll know more about your neighbors and there’ll be more security in your home. However, privacy might be restricted.

Another option is the buying a house on the corner lots. These are often much larger because of the positioning of the house in the corner of the street. You’ll have more visibility but lesser neighbors. However, it might prove to be noisier when compared to opting for a cul de sac type. To add to this, you’ll probably have more sidewalk to shovel during winters and since there will be more traffic around your home, your kids have to be careful.

Another type of home to buy is that on busy streets. Homes on streets that have a lot of traffic are usually much cheaper. However, this option is good only if you are not bothered by noise. If your bedrooms are located near the front portion of the house, sleep can be disturbed because of the traffic noise.
