Are You Providing Tenant Denial Letters? Are Your Landlords?
I have recently encountered several Realtors working for traditional brokerages that have no idea about the requirement to provide tenant denial letters when that decision has been made based upon a consumer's credit report. The FCRA requires landlords who deny a lease based on information in the applicant’s consumer report to provide the applicant with an “adverse action notice.” Are you complying?
