As I child we went camping all the time...

WOW have times changed... those memories were great... our "camping trip" consisted of 3 -4 families in cars heading to Boca Chica in Brownsville ...many ~many~ many  years ago... my uncles would line up theirs cars and then blankets would be attached from car to car creating a tent effect.  We usually stayed over one night.  The little ones would sleep in the cars... and most of us would sleep on a blanket on the beach... not a care in the world...

Today - camping has certainly evolved.

Texas Parks and Wildlife have a great site including great tips...

    Camping Safety and Etiquette

The 7 C's of camping are a great reminder before heading out on your next adventure.

Care - being considerate and caring for others
Caution- staying safe and improving our skills in using equipment, fire safety
Courtesy - good manners go a long way, respecting each others privacy
Cleanliness -  leave your campsite clean and ready for the next camper
Cooperation - follow the rules...don't endanger you and others
    Conservation - protect your environment
    Common Sense - use it...
