    Burlington, MA has seen its single family house prices hold from the peak of the market in 2004 but the number of houses sold is down.  All data in this post is based on information provided to and compiled by MLS Property Information Network, Inc. (MLSPIN) and extracted on December 2, 2010.

    The average price of a single family house year-to-date is $417,487, which is down by 6% from 2004 but is fairly good in light of the overall down housing market in the Boston area.  Sales, however, have fallen much further and are at 139 so far for 2010.  This compares to 214 sales of single family houses for 2004.

    The top sellers in Burlington, MA are 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom houses in 2010.  70 single family houses or about 50% of houses sold have 3 bedrooms.

    According to Realtytrac.com, 1 in every 1,257 housing units received a foreclosure notice in October.  That compares to 1 in every 675 housing units that received a foreclosure for all of Middlesex County.
