Now that summer is gone and fall is here! It’s time to get your home ready for cooler temperatures! Fall Cleaning is just as important as spring cleaning!  Now is the time! Most of us clean on a weekly basis so as your doing your weekly chores throw in a (fall cleaning project).  When fall gets here you will be ready! Start by checking and cleaning your furnace also a good time to chance filters! If your home has a fireplace you should check to see if there is any damage like (cracks, broken bricks or missing tiles etc.) If you find any call a professional to inspect and clean. Nobody likes cleaning windows but they should be cleaned inside and out which gives you the opportunity to see if any chalking in needed! Coolers should be covered or removed.  get your bedding washed and ready to go also, a good time to flip those mattresses! As your dustings don’t forget the ceiling fanswhich have collected a lot of dust, light fixturesneed to be cleaned and bulbs changed as needed. It’s time to move the furnitureand vacuum under it don’t forget to clean under the cushions of the sofa and chairs!

This is also a good time to change your décor.  Adding some fall colors, (reds, oranges, browns and yellows) around the house adds some decorative touches. Scented candles can add some fall aroma! Put away those summer clothes and bring warmer clothing out! Outside! Fertilizer your lawn. Plants that are not cold tolerant should be moved to patio covered areas. Don’t forget to put mulch down around shrubs and trees. Be sure and clean your gutters and downspout! Patio furniture should be cleaned and put away! Kid’s toys should be cleaned put away or if out grown give away! Now set back and enjoy!
