Passed by Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865, the 13th amendment abolished slavery in the United States and provides that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.".
Okay maybe it is a “Freudian Slip.†Am I that old I know what both are? Hmmm maybe it's because I am still in search of that person called “My.†Who is my? Oh my my my my my....what a tangled web we weave..
Okay I understand, my wife and kids, my car, my big boy toys, and sometimes my dumb, well, you know what I mean. Your “client†is not your property, my property, or the property of anyone else. So in this rather comical, but truly serious rant, people are not “My Buyer,†so please stop referring to them as such. Better terms can be, “the home-buyer,†“the client we are representing†(yes remember that if you are not the Broker of Record), or how about “Mr. and / or Mrs.,†or just plain old “Peter, Paul, and Mary.â€
Well I hope all is well with you and the rest of the industry as we make our way and our mark on today. Today is a new beginning to shift our paradigms.
