Should I or Shouldn't I?

The question always comes around as to whether one should buy or sell a home.  In the market conditions we have now it truly depends on your circumstances.  Do you realize that the first time tax credit is still available as long as you settle by June 1, 2010?  If you are a current home owner you may qualify to receive a $6,500 tax credit if you purchase a primary home.  See details:  www.tinyurl.com/fedtaxcredit.

Some of you may have more urgent reasons to buy or sell a home.  If you are looking to purchase a home prior to a marriage, moving out of the family home, starting a new job or scaling down the time to look is very good.  The pricings of homes is very competitive, the interest rates are still low but are expected to rise AND the tax benefits are certainly better than renting.

If you need to see because the economy has hit you hard and you NEED to move then my advice to you is to discuss the situation with a real estate professional who can tell you what the market is doing in your particular area.  Do you need to file for short sale, do you need to declare bankruptcy?  All those questions can only be answered by you.  If you are in the fringe of what to do I always tell my folks to make a pros and cons list.  Study it, have a game plan and seek the advice of a professional.

Help is always available by any real estate professional and I would be more than happy to assist you in sorting through you game plan for the future.  The answer to should I or shouldn't I is right at your finger tips.

I wish you much luck and success in whatever decision you make.
