This past weekend we had an open house in Glenview that resulted in 53 groups of people coming through and viewing the property in 2 hours.  You read that right 53 groups not people. Overall the estimate is 120-160 people in 2 hours viewing 1 house.  The Glenview and Wilmette Markets are very similar in terms of shockingly low inventory.
How can that be?  The home was priced just under $500,000 and it was the first open house. So price wise for a 4 Bedroom home in Glenview, not unreasonable. The shortage of homes for sale in this spring market has been astonishing. We have seen buyers coming out of the woodwork to buy, only to find that there are no homes to choose from. It really has turned into a sellers market.
Buyers, don't hesitate to work with a qualified agent that understands the area you are buying. Â A buyers agent gets paid out of the sale of a home, and can give you a heads up about homes that will be coming on the market.
Sellers, if you've thought about selling and have been putting that off, consider now to be a great time. The buyers are here and looking.
