Hi folks! Here are your real estate market activity stats for the 21009 zip code. Abingdon is conveniently located off of exit 77b of Interstate 95 north of Baltimore. Within minutes, you will find a plethora of shopping and eateries. There is the Fesitval of Bel Air which is an oversized shopping center with virtually everything you could want. But if you don't find it there, will find the new Wegmans grocery store that is being constructed right down the street. You also have Walmart, Target, Lowes and the Movie Theater 5 minutes away! If you go a bit further, you have the town of Bel Air. Downtown Bel Air is a quaint town with a variety of shops and food establishments to choose from. OK let's get to the stats!
Lets discuss these numbers shall we? First of all I must say I was rather excited when I pulled these numbers. Lets talk about total dollar volume. In 2010 we sold $2,720,950 in real estate. In 2011 this increased by 77.04%! No this is not an error, I said 77% which put up at $4,817,141 in total this Feb. The average sold price in 2011 was $253,534. This is an 11.81% increase from the $226,746 average posted in 2010. No moving on to the units sold. In 2010 we sold 12 and in 2011 we sold 19. This was an increase of 58.33%. NOT TOO SHABBY!! The days on the market have decreased from 126 to 90. This means that inventory is not sitting around getting old. These stats are very encouraging to me. I am excited to see where it goes from here. There are currently approximately 196 homes on the market in the Abingdon area. There is plenty of houses for you to choose from if you would like to call Abingdon your home.
