Valley Ranch Irving Tx History

A little Valley Ranch Irving Tx history....Did you know that this development neighborhood in far north Irving, just north of 635, gets its name from a working ranch that sits below a ridge ... right in the "valley"? It's true! It rests right near the floodplain of the Trinity River, which accounts for the many canals throughout.

The Valley Ranch Association website reports "over 4,000 single family homes and 21 multi-family communities" in Valley Ranch, coming to "nearly 30,000 residents,"  a substantially-sized Texas town. And, "within the Ranch are approximately 138 businesses and 8 neighborhood centers." This active community also has three different elementary schools, a middle school, and high school. And, it is also the home of the Dallas Cowboy’s training facility.

So much is SO CLOSE and accessible to Valley Ranch. It's a great community for kids, and for staying connected to lots going on around Dallas/Ft. Worth. Location, and a good city/neighborhood plan, are huge perks for the north Irving area. And, it's a community that makes room for local shops and restaurants, fostering a strong community connection to the very local economy. (Definitely check out "Our Place" Indian Cuisine on N. MacArthur Blvd.)

And the history is just a part of a system of neighborhoods that are easily accessible, pretty near everything (635, 161, and 114 all close), and full of community amenitites and activities for all ages! Valley Ranch is at the northern end of the Campion Trails of Irving, almost 6,000 feet of wide concrete primary trail (a work that continues to be extended). There is lovely room to run, bike, walk and chat and be outdoors.Valley Ranch is a great place to live and grow!!!
