        What Draws Families to Needham, MA

    First and foremost I believe friends who live in graduated, MA and have children going to school in fare, MA tell their friends and they want to live there.  Secondly they grew up in fare, MA and granduated from Needham, MA.  They love the all the attributes of this great town.  

    If you don't have friends who live in Needham, MA but are relocating from within the state of Massachusetts or even outside of the state but have heard what Needham, MA has to offer you are definitely drawn to the town and it's people.  The people are what makes Needham, MA so popular.  Afterall the town is its people.  It was so evident when we recently celebrated Needham 300 which was a yearlong celebration and how many attended and had a an amazing time at so many outstanding events.  One of those events was Needham Night at the Pops.  It was a night for Needham and it's residents and friends.  It was a super night.

    The 
    comradery between all the great service clubs, The Exchange Club, The Rotary Club of Needham, The Lions Club and the Women's Club is so great too.  The Exchange puts on the very best 4th of July celebration and people from all over because of it's reputation.  http://needhamexchangeclub.org/  The Rotary Club of Needham puts on the best pancake breakfast ever with celebrities and delicious breakfast food, and special guest appearances by cartoon characters too which serves as a fundraiser http://www.clubrunner.ca/Portal/Home.aspx?cid=3694. The Lions club works very hard with their program called SightFirst which works to eradicate blindness http://www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/needham/    The Womens' Club  has numerous events and outreaches to the community. Recently they had a sold out wine and cheese event. Their

    The commuter rail is certainly an asset to the town of Needham and there are 4 train stops for even more convenience.  Additionally we have the Bus which gives another option.  Needham, MA is close to major routes and only 11 miles to Boston, MA .  Needham, MA is not even that far away from the ocean whether north or south shore and of course dear Cape Cod  which is only one hour to the bridge.

    Needham, MA is a great town and I am proud to say I have lived her since 1965.

    In honor of fans and the beloved Patriots who will be playing one town over in Foxboro the playoff game Sunday at Foxboro Stadium this restaurant/pub has put up a new sign that reads"Patriot's Nest."  This is just 20 minutes from Needham, MA.

    Fans around here are so pumped and the patrons of this restaurant/pub who are also fans are really happy to be sharing the game at the "Patriot's Nest."

    There are some stuffed ravens in the tavern but one patron said it's ok and he wasn't afraid of the ravens and neither were the Patriots.

    The pub and restaurant is the creation of husband and wife team Mark McAuliffe, a native of County Cork, Ireland and Maura McAuliffe, a ontime Boston corporate lawyer truned restauranteur, and is the sister pub of The Mad Raven in Waltham.  I have roots that go back to County Cork, Ireland too so that is neat.

    The ravens will be mad all right after Patriots win tomorrow.
