Why do I do what I do? Because I'm selfish!

I'm a highly motivated person.  I don't need someone looking over my shoulder all the time to inspire me to get moving.  If they're looking over my shoulder them must be moving too.  No, if I believe in something I am totally committed until it's done.  I'm also a sucker for the underdog.  When other agents ask me why I even bother with short sales, the reason below is good enough for me.

Thank you very much for all of your hard work.  Without your relentless pursuit of answers from the lenders' customer service representatives, there is no way this short sale would have been negotiated.   You succeeded where I could not, and managed with a cheerful attitude and prompt responses, keeping me informed of all the action (or inaction) on the negotiations.  I feel as though this sale actually having closed yesterday is a miracle, and I appreciate everything you did to make certain it happened.
I would certainly recommend your services to anyone in the same situation.
Thanks again,

For me, money only provides a basic motivation for what I do.  There has to be something greater than money if I'm going to be motivated to take up a cause.  I make a lot more money with my other business.  So, there has to be more.  The simple pleasure of seeing people getting on with their lives after suffering great setbacks is a motivational gift.  I selfishly enjoy seeing a good ending.  Why do I do what I do?  That's why.  I'm selfish.
