Available Homes in Winchester Virginia

Growing up in Winchester, VA, I always felt like I lived in the safest place in the world.  Winchester sits between two mountain ridges.  That means we were protected from extreme weather such as tornadoes and hurricanes.

Winchester is about an hour from the Washington, D.C. metro area, but it seems like it's in the center of country away from the hustle and bustle of the Washington, D.C. area.  Living in Winchester gives its residents all the benefits of metro living in a quiet less expensive area.

The current real estate market has 498 properties for sale.  Of that Homes in Winchester VAnumber, less than 10% are foreclosures or short sales.  The 454 fair market properties currently listed indicate that the local market is recovering from high volume of foreclosure and short sale listings of 2008-2010.  That's good news for homeowners, sellers and buyers.

The local market may have finally reached its bottom and turning upward.  Those who have sat on the sidelines waiting for the market to bottom out will want to get in the in the market before the upturn becomes a rocket of higher prices.

The current prices vary from $59900 to $895000.  There is a property for every budget and every style, size and layout.  If you're in the market to sell or buy in theWinchester, Virginia area, now is the time.  Get in the game before you miss the best opportunity the Winchester / Frederick County has seen in a decade.
