It may still be blisteringly hot, but fall is a-comin', and with it comes some of Austin's most exciting restaurant openings. While August used to be a quiet month, late summer has already seen the premieres of Rainey Street's NO VAand Manor's School House Pub. Rainey and Manor will see more major openings before the year is up, though not as many as South Lamar and Burnet Road. Burnet's riches include a new branch of Noble Sandwich Co., while South Lamar will get an East Side King and the long-awaited brick-and-mortarOdd Duck. Check out Eater's full list below the cut.

Now that fall is here, Austinites are warming to their autumn finery, bundling up in actual shoes instead of flip-flops. It's time to drive with the windows down, maybe if it's barely tolerable outside, to the city's most anticipated restaurants set to open in the next few months. Here's Eater Austin's lowdown on what's going in where.

     what's going in where.

    Address: 2538 Guadalupe Street
    Major Players: Paul Qui
The Situation: Top Chefwinner Paul Qui, formerly of Uchiko, has all kinds of crazy plans for new Austin restaurants coming up, and the first of these is his brick-and-mortar location of his East Side King food truck at the Hole In The Wall bar near the University of Texas campus.

    Address: 1417 South First Street
Major Players: Rene Ortiz, Jesse Herman
The Situation: The team behind La Condesa, chef Rene Ortiz and restaurateur Jesse Herman, are going east for their new project, Sway. It's an Australian-influenced Thai place with an open kitchen, spirit garden and option for diners to eat a family-style pig roast feast.
