“Walk Through the Christmas Story Live Nativity in Santa Clara, CA Dec. 5-9, 2013"

by Santa Clara REALTOR® Michelle Carr-Crowe

Looking for an unforgettable way to experience Jesus as the reason for the Christmas season this year?

Then visit “Walk Through the Christmas Story”, a live nativity December 5 through 9, 2013, at Santa Clara First Baptist Church, located at 3111 Benton Street (between Pomeroy and Kiely) in Santa Clara, Calif.

Santa Clara First Baptist Church invites everyone in Silicon Valley to join them at “Walk Through the Christmas Story”,  a journey to the Biblical city of Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born.

From the authoritative Roman guards to the abrupt tax clerks registering citizens to the holy crèche scene with Joseph, Mary and Jesus, attendees experience what it feels like to go back in time and witness the events that led up to the birth of Jesus Christ.

On December 5 through 9, 2013, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, a “Walk Through the Christmas Story” occurs every 30 minutes.

Visitors observe Joseph and a very pregnant Mary searching desperately for a place to shelter for the night, hear and see the angel proclaim to the shepherds “Good news to all men” and witness the travels and gifts of the three wise men in a true three-dimensional life-style tableau of that first Christmas night over 2000 years ago.

“Walk Through the Christmas Story” is a free event open to people of all faiths and all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult).

Learn How to Make Gadget Gloves for Christmas at Campbell Library Dec. 7, 2013

By Campbell REALTOR® Michelle Carr Crowe

Anyone seeking a fun and easy do-it-yourself craft project to give to a favorite Silicon Valley technology-lover should head to the Campbell Library on Sat., December 7, 2013 from 3:30 pm till 5:30 pm and learn to make "gadget gloves".

Attendees 10 and older are invited to bring a pair of gloves (or mittens) and learn how to make “gadget gloves” (AKA "conductive gloves") that work on touchscreens.

Gadget gloves allow a person to simultaneously keep their hands and fingers warm while successfully manipulating touch screens on smartphones, tablets and iPads (without the required skin-to-touch screen contact).

This is the first in the new “Make Anything” series of “Do-It-Yourself” projects
developed by the Santa Clara County Library System.

    All of the new
“Make Anything” series of “Do-It-Yourself" lessons are designed to appeal to the unique tech-oriented mindset of Silicon Valley residents.

The “Do-It-Yourself Gadget Gloves” event is designed for people ages 10 and up. It is from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Sat., Dec. 7, 2013 in the Community Room, in the bottom level of the Campbell Library.

The Campbell Library is located at 77 Harrison Avenue in Campbell, near the Campbell Police Station and
    Ainsley House Museum.

The Campbell Library is part of the award-winning Santa Clara County Library System.
