Puerto Vallarta Real Estate

Many people who decide buy Puerto Vallarta real estate and make it either their permanent home or second home have already visited the area several times. While many Canadians and Americans choosing Puerto Vallarta real estate do so for retirement, a significant and growing number of those who have grown to love Puerto Vallarta have shared one of the most special moments of their lives here; namely their wedding.

“Wedding tourism” has been a significant factor in Puerto Vallarta’s tourist industry. For hotels, it provides one way of increasing occupancy during low periods. In many cases it provides more than a third of a hotel’s income, creating and maintaining a variety jobs, due to the broad range of services required for a wedding. The number of tourist weddings has also been growing. According to Ludwig Estrada, the Puerto Vallarta’s regional director of tourism , the industry has seen a 20% increase from last year. Estrada compared the significance of the industry to that of business conventions, in terms of supporting tourism during the low season.
The fact that the industry is growing is good news for anyone considering wedding in Puerto Vallarta. Because of this increase, there are also more companies dedicated not only to promoting wedding packages, but also to organizing and carrying out all aspects of this very special event , from location, to food, to the judges and priests who will carry out the ceremonies. Weddings have been held in hotels, on the beaches or even on the high seas!

The majority of those interested in a Puerto Vallarta wedding are Americans and Canadians, but there is also a significant number of Mexicans, mostly from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Queretero and Zacatecas. Besides Puerto Vallarta, a number of other Mexico beachfront destinations, such as Manzanillo, welcome a significant number of wedding celebrations. Some non-beachfront cities, such as Cuernavaca also receive a significant number of wedding-visitors. At the moment, there are no statistics available for wedding tourism on a national level, but in various destinations weddings provide a significant source of visitors and income both for the businesses involved and for the states where they are held.

Although the industry covers a broad range of Mexican destinations, Puerto Vallarta is certainly one of the favorites. This is with good reason. More or less the same reasons that make Puerto Vallarta real estate an excellent choice make a Puerto Vallarta wedding an excellent choice; a climate that is as close to perfect as it gets – an average temperature of 72o; modern, up to date infrastructure and services mean that not only will you be in one of the most beautiful places, but that things will work right, and everything needed will easily be found; a large market for weddings in Puerto Vallarta means a large number of options in terms services and providers, meaning that each couple can plan exactly the wedding they have been dreaming of.

You could say that a Puerto Vallarta wedding is an ideal “prequel” to a Puerto Vallarta home. Once a couple has enjoyed such an important step in their lives here in Paradise, it seems logical that some time down the road they will want to buy Puerto Vallarta real estate and make this beautiful city their second home, if not their permanent home. While finding the right partner for marriage is entirely up to those involved, here at TOPMexicoRealEstate NETWORK, "Your Expert Property-Finders," we can help buyers find the perfect Puerto Vallarta property, and the information needed to make the purchase safely.
