My name is Michael Colvin a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker HPW, I started using Trulia in 2007. On a December day that started much like any other day, I was notified of a new question within my parameters on Trulia. D.J. wanted to know "Negotiating costs (listing, selling, etc) for home in 27707. Suggestions?"  I answered and D.J. thought my answer was the best one, a few days later another question "Realtors with experience selling home in Forest Hills / Parkside area. Anyone out there?"  I again answered, D.J. saw I was the first to answer and again he thought my answer was the best. He emailed me and we set up a meeting to discuss how I could help him and his wife Kristina sell their home. Long story short, D.J. and Kristina have been the ideal sellers, they are savvy and have listened to every suggestion I have made, resulting in their home showing exceptionally well, 46 days on the market and 21 showings. D.J. has made local headlines and an appearance on NBC nightly news, by marketing his home on "Twitter".  I am very luck to have met D.J. and his wife Kristina and they have truly been a pleasure to work with. Yesterday we received 2 offers on their home and are now under contract. It's too early to tell how this buyer found D.J's home but I feel very confident that Trulia, Twitter and D.J.'s dedication and willingness to step outside the box has helped find a buyer for their home. Trulia is an exceptional website, user friendly and a great resource for anyone with a home to buy or sell or just curious about Real Estate.
