Who wants a yurt? "A what?" you ask.
I said "YURT." Yeah, I never heard of it either. Apparently, it has nothing to do with frozen yogurt.
A yurt is actually a mildly sophisticated tent/teepee structure. Pretty
cool, huh? The yurt pictured above is nestled in the jungle-y backyard
of this Los Feliz Mid-Century beauty.
But this house doesn't really need a yurt-y gimmick. It's awesome all
on its own. The living room, here, features a vaulted ceiling,
skylights, a stacked stone fireplace, and custom built-ins.
The kitchen features top appliances, a large skylight, granite counters,
and bamboo floors installed on the diagonal. It opens to the dining
room with a built-in table and craft area.
The cozy family room opens wide to the solar heated saline pool with waterfall, and the outdoor private dining room.
Mmmm. Smells like tranquility.
Speaking of smells, this room should smell like lemons or bananas. I
wish scratch & sniff paint was real--that would be cool!
But until they make scratch & sniff paint, this sweet BANANA SCENTED
wallpaper will have to do! Yeah, it is REAL--from Brooklyn-based Flavor Paper.
I digress. This home includes 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths all with unique, individual character and charm.
Mmm. More yellow. How do you feel about the designer's use of color throughout this home? Yay or Nay?
This purple, stone-y tile work is quite unique. The only thing that would make it better, though, would be. . .
You got it--scratch & sniff grape capabilities!
