Selling in the snow

For everyone with a home for sale - please shovel.  It's very hard to show homes in the cold, and if you didn't shovel some customers will not view the home.  Often when we skip a home, we don't go back.  If you no longer live there please speak with a family member or neighbor, if you can't manage it, ask your realtor for help - in today's market you don't want to loose 1 showing.

Mary, such a very good point to bring out to sellers. Three years ago I literally did the "splits" walking out the side door of a home in Nutley to show the backyard. Two years ago I sprained my ankle trying to get up the icy stairs of one of my own listings for an open house. I had to call my husband to bring salt and a shovel. It was a vacant property and obviously the owner didn't come to shovel or hire anyone for that matter.

Good post!
Hi Mary,

Yes very timely post, thank you for the reminder. Not saying that as a home seller, I would be worry about getting sued if someone gets hurt on my property.
