Click on the link for this candid and joyous interview with Vida Blue, and his support of Northern Light School. Is an inner city school in Oakland that is making a progressive difference in building future leaders with the focus on the whole child. “At Northern Light School, we see education as a way to teach all of our children, 97% of whom are at-risk, from minority families, or represent the most underserved communities in the Bay Area, how to use their minds, how to respond peacefully, and how to find and pursue their passions and aspirations.”

"Northern Light School is committed to providing a high quality education for children from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, especially those who would not have the opportunity for a private school education. The faculty and staff create an atmosphere in which every child can grow academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, to become healthy, productive members of their families and communities. The focus is on excellence in teaching basic academics as well as non-violence, acceptance of differences, respect for the environment, and the moral advancement of humanity--so that the children develop an understanding that they have a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of others."

This is the link for the First Annual Celebrity Invitational September 9, 2013; I invite all Realtors®, Local Business Owners, Major Corporations, Baseball fans, Baseball players, home owners, and home buyers, to help support Northern Light School. No donation is too small when it helps our children stand tall!
