Up to $8000 tax credit for 1st time homebuyers. Close by 11/30/2009

HURRY!  Time is running out!  As a first-time homebuyer, you may be able to take advantage of a tax credit of up to $8000!  "If you have not had any ownership interest in a home for 3 (three) years prior to your 2009 purchase, then ~

  • Closing must take place before Dec. 1, 2009.
  • Applies only to homes used as a taxpayer's principal residence.
  • Reduces a taxpayer's tax bill or increases his or her refund, dollar for dollar.
  • Is fully refundable, meaning the credit will be paid out to eligible taxpayers, even if they owe no tax or the credit is more than the tax owed.

Claim the credit on  Form 5405"

The above information was taken from the website www.irs.gov .  For more details regarding this program, call me, MARILYN SPURLOCK or go to www.exitrealtycenterar.com and let's find your new home today!

The rush is on for sure, but every REALTOR that sees this and notices their call to action by NAR, should participate and contact their representative and Senators, frequently so that this credit could be extended. Have you called, written, or emailed your representatives yet? By their terrible financail policies, the feds have put us in a hole and with credits such as the $8,000 we can have assistance to pull us out. THe Realtors and builders bring the country out of every recession so far and this one is not different. Make those calls, mail those letters and/or email to day.

Yes, I have emailed our representatives because I also agree that it would be advantageous to extend this program.
