Old Town Orange

Old Towne Orange features walking food tours on the weekends. Typically starting at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., this is a great way of seeing the historic buildings and charming shops that are located in Old Towne Orange. Additionally, food tasting will range from Italian to American and a variety of other delicious cuisines from the area restaurants.

The tours begin at Starbucks-Wells Fargo in Orange Plaza and are $49 per person. The Old Towne Orange will cover approximately 1¼ miles and the guided tour accepts 15 people at a time. These tours often sell out due to the popularity. A typical tour will include various samplings along the way and may include items such as a Gourmet Blue Burger, Raspberry French Toast, Chocolate Fudge, French Macaroons, Roasted Potato Soup and more.

February 26th from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., the Art Walk Food Tour of Old Towne Orange will be held. The group will meet at Orange Plaza and a guided tour of the galleries in Old Towne. Private presentations will be part of the tour of the many styles that are represented in Old Towne Orange. They include e special presentation will be a part of the Art Walk Food Tour. This will include Russian art and culture. There will be food tastings from a variety of participating galleries as well as fine arts. The Orange Tea Room, Schroeder Studio Gallery, Copperwood Artware and Chuck Jones Center for Creativity are participating in the Old Towne Orange Art Walk Food Tour on the 26th. The tour will also feature Affair de Coeur, with a collection of antiques, gifts and home décor.

The tour is $75 per person and will be a wonderful way of enjoying the wide selection of art venues that are located in Old Towne Orange. Advance purchase is required. The walking tours encompass all types of art including fabric, ceramic, jewelry and glass such as those represented by Schroeder Studio Gallery. In addition, this gallery has an instruction studio for those who are interested in landscape, sketching and watercolor. For an informative tour and the ambiance of Old Towne Orange, the tours are a wonderful way to experience this historical area.
