Good Business Practice

Luke Constantino May 18th, 2009

We all have to admit, this has been a very challenging market so far. The banks are very astringent with loans; people keep changing their minds and its "Open contract season"! This is where a person goes into contract with a seller and the seller never signs and keeps it open hoping for a better offer. I do not do this practice, I find it unethical.

I find most of my business this year is coming from past clients. People who I have either helped buy or sell property throughout the years. I always keep in contact by sending emails or holiday cards. I get a lot back in return, even invites to events! I feel like I have made good friends through all my dealings. They tell me it's very hard to find a respectable realtor who does what they say.

My advice to other Realtors:

Do straight, clean business and follow up on you clients/customers, or they will find someone who will.
