To Condo or Not to Condo? That is the Question.

Condos.  A lot has been written about the pros and cons of condo ownership.  And a lot of the points on both sides of the argument generally contain some validity.  Like in every situation, some situations fit some people better than others.  In the Weymouth Real Estate Market, condos for  the moment are a very compelling choice.  As of today there are 15 condos on the market under $125,000, some of which are in very strong condo associations with nice amenities.  The rent versus own debate seems to tilt towards the side of ownership.  After you consider all the costs, Principal & Interest, Taxes, condo fees, insurance, etc., the net, after tax math seems to favor ownership.  Even more so if you think the real estate market may see some price appreciation in the next half of a decade?  How about cutting your rent bill, and picking up the interest deduction next April?  Interest rates are low, helping the case all the more.

Weymouth offers a great variety of Condo choices, from water views, to bare bone associations, a buyer can find a condo to fit his or her specific criteria.  As of today, Weymouth has 102 condos ont the market at an average offering price of $223,425, with a average time on the market of just over 4 months.  For the owner occupant, or the investor, there are some units that make a compelling case to warrant a look.

i think condos are ok as long as there is in unit washer/dryer and the walls keep sound from other units out. you shouldn't be able to hear your neighbors bodily functions.
