Wow! I love the internet do you? So much information at our fingertips at lightening speed!! The problem with this conglomeration of information, is the accuracy of the information. This is especially a problem in the world of Real Estate. The term we use in Real Estate constantly is "time is of the essence", things must be done in a timely manner. This is where the internet can either play a positive or negative role in Real Estate. Many times I receive calls from clients inquiring about a property listing that has been leased or sold, but shows up as active on many sites.. The local Multiple Listing Service is the most up to date and reliable place to find out about the accuracy of a listing, but only a Real Estate Agent who pays a fee can access this information. Most agents will be more than happy to answer any question about their listings to the public. The biggest problem is with lease listings, sometimes the agents have not had the opportunity to update their listings. The agent might be in the process of running the application, once they are approved, the listing is under pending. This could take hours or a few days to get updated on the property search websites. This is why it is important to reach the agent even before viewing the property. Here are a few of the most reliable and updated sites.
If you need any information, do not hestitate to contact the listing agent! It is our job to give the public information about listings. For any question please call our office and we will be happy to give you information!! 512-388-3313
