Your Home, Your Lifestyle

The two stars both called the compound home in 1961, though they rented separate units. Monroe lived in hers, while Sinatra used his as a getaway, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The largest of the three units offers two bedrooms, five fireplaces and an impressive 100-foot-long living room with floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The second unit, a studio above the garage, comes with a fireplace, a kitchenette, a large library/bedroom and a spacious terrace. Last but not least, the third unit features a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a small office built around an atrium. All three units share access to “Zen-like courtyards” and an “airy patio,” according to the listing.

In the 1980s, the home was owned and remodeled by Turkish-born designer Kalef Alaton, known for his lavish, eclectic style. Decades later, we can still see Alaton’s influence in this West Hollywood residence, and we’re totally intrigued by the mix of bold patterns, rich textiles and antique furniture found throughout the home. What do you think of this star-studded compound? Tell us in the comments below.
