  • Walk-in's Welcome!

Yesterday was very exciting for our business.  Our doors have been open since late November 2013, but with this harsh winter walk-ins have been nonexistent.  Yesterday, our first walk-in came through the doors of 95 S. Eagle Road to the Long and Foster Havertown Real Estate location.  It was very existing and means people are noticing our business. It is rare for walk-ins in any real estate location, but we are more than happy to help anyone, no appointments are necessary. The doors are open, come on in, and let us help you!

  • It's Easy being Green

Posted Under: General Area in Havertown, How To... in Havertown, Property Q&A in Havertown  |  April 2, 2014 4:09 PM  |  375 views  |  No comments

It's easy to go green without even noticing or making many changes to your lifestyle.  Here are a few tips that I follow each day:

    1) Don't Preheat your oven-  unless you are cooking temperamental items, such as bread or baked goods, no need to preheat the oven.  Just put whatever you need to cook in the oven and turn it on. You may need to add 5 or 10 minutes, but at least you didn't waste 5 or 10 minutes heating the oven and house up.

    2) Clean your lint filter (and save it if you need to start fires)- If you clean your lint filter after each use, you will help decrease energy waste and speed up drying time. An adding bonus- save the lint to use as a fire starter for your outdoor fire pit or the next time you go camping.

    3) Unplug unused appliances or use a power strip- by unplugging or utilizing a power strip, you will save energy on all of the appliances you are not using when they are powered off.

    4) Wash clothes in cold water and watch your energy bill go down each month.

  • Green up your holiday!

Posted Under: General Area in Havertown, Quality of Life in Havertown, How To... in Havertown  |  December 2, 2013 1:17 PM  |  498 views  |  1 comment

Do you ever think about how much waste you create during the holiday season? According to the Medical University of South Carolina, waste disposal increases 25 percent in the United States, causing an extra 5 billion pounds of waste in the landfills.

Here are some tips to help you reduce your waste and be more environmentally friendly this holiday season:

    1. Don’t Buy Wrapping Paper- reuse old wrapping paper, gift bags or boxes.

    2. Send E-Holiday Cards- many sites will allow you to send free e-cards, eliminating a large cost and waste of paper.

    3. Rethink your holiday party-Instead of using one-use products, such as paper plates and utensils, consider using plates, silverware and napkins you can wash. Recycle all aluminum and glass bottles.

    4. Give the Gift of Time- Consider giving the gift of your time and talent-offer to make dinner, walk the dog, help with gardening or home repairs.

    5. Recycle Packaging From Gifts-reduce environmental impacts and recycle all cardboard packaging and peanuts or other Styrofoam packing that come with gifts or purchases. These items can used over and over again for packaging and shipping– these items will not break down in a landfill.
