Lovin' Summer in Wisconsin - Festivals, Sunshine and Brats

For those of us who survived the Winter that wouldn't end, the record-breaking snowfalls - we are soaking up every ounce of sunshine and warmth. There is so much to do and so little time!  From the festivals - Festa Italiana, Germanfest, Waukesha County Fair,State Fair, local Church Festivals - to Brewer Games (Go Brewers!) - It is hard to fit in the normal work-day activities. As someone told me recently, " There's too much fun to be had, to let work get in the way".
Here's a link to all the Festivals : http://www.onmilwaukee.com/seasonal/festivals/

In deed, our long wet spring (and early summer) have left us with precious little time to enjoy outdoor activities.  So- make the most of it.  Get outside, be active - we are blessed to have so many things to participate in.  Even if you are cutting back on expenses because of the higher gas costs - you can still have fun.  Get the neighbors together, and have a block party.  Brats and hamburgers are great any day of the week!   Check out a local Church festival.  Many have car shows (free admission), great local bands.... Get up and dance....., games for kids and adults,  wonderful food - corn on the cob, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, brats... (Hungry yet???)

Since our Milwaukee Brewers are having an exceptional season, Miller Park has been a #1 destination.

Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis will be hopping from July 31st to Aug 10.  Set aside a day or two to spend there -  Ahhhhhh State Fair Cream Puffs.  (Do you see a trend - we love Food)

So- Take time to relax, Summer is short and soon kids will be going back to school - and then..... oh no...  the frozen tundra will return.   (but then we start Packer Football .... don't get me started on that soap opera yet.... hee-hee)

Never been to Wisconsin, but I've heard it's nice.
