In a world of digital living, I have been  maximizing my social media efforts. I have discovered the power of Pinterest. With every Board and Pin I come across, I understand the potential of exposure of items I post. It is interesting to see the link between posts and how relevant information gets past from person to person. With real estate, I tend to post My Company's listing to maximize exposure in addition to repinning useful household secrets, tips and DIY ideas.

I invite you all to explore the social media avenues I have incorporated in my Marketing business. Browse Westchester County homes and understand the beautiful of living amongst prime real estate. Learn tips and ideas that I find extremely interesting and relevant.

  • Are you reading for Summer Camp?

With the warmer months quickly approaching, parents are preparing all over Westchester for Summer Camp registration, preparation and ensuring they have chosen the correct program for their child. Sometimes Westchester parents are torn between public town camps and private camps. I came across this great post on the Patch website of an array of different camps that parents can check out around the area. This list is detailed and is a quick guide to sifting through what seems to be hundreds of options. The worse feeling is knowing that your child is miserable all summer so I hope this helps!

  • Welcome to Spring in Westchester!

    First Day of Spring…

It’s the first day of Spring and I stumbled on blocks of ice on my way into the office… not the best feeling. Spring, to me, is a start of new beginnings and new opportunities. In my life, that means assisting Westchester home seekers and sellers to begin their journey in the real estate market. Home inventory is slowly decreasing which means, demand is higher and homes are selling/renting at impressive rates. This is what we call a “seller’s market” within the industry. With that being said, buyers should consider moving quick and placing bids early if they happen to find their dream home.

If your in the market of home buying in Westchester, the spring market is where you need to be competitive and be working with an experienced licensed real estate agent. Westchester County is my speciality. I have been a resident for 20+ years and have worked with hundreds of home buyers and sellers. Contact me today if you are interested in real estate along the Westchester Rivertowns and villages, towns and cities.

  • The Strength of Rentals in This Economy

The Strength of Rentals in This Economy

Saturday afternoon came quickly last weekend and as I sit behind my desk in the real estate office, I ponder about where are all of our walk ins? With anticipation of a customer walking in to inquire about a listing in the window, I wonder is it the cold weather, the economy or the time of year? Which negative attribute of Winter in America is shifting the way people think these days.

It’s interesting when a customer does come in…to see the look on their face and to listen to their needs. I find that my fellow agents and I have had done a record number of rentals this past year. With a troubled economy still in full force, I realize that although mortgage rates are at an all time low, consider yourself one of the few who are getting approved. And with that overwhelming fact, comes rentals. You can rent an apartment, condo, house or commercial space. Allow it to be yours for a couple months or years and then move forward. Seems overwhleming to a few, but ideal to others. Especially those looking to come to Westchester from New York City. It is a perfect way to get to know the Westchester villages without committing to a house. Or a perfect way to wait out the mortgage struggles until you are the picture perfect mortgagee.

With all that said, I know this rental in Tarrytown will not last long. In the large complex of Halston House, you will find 416 Benedict Ave, 4J.

Just Bring Your toothbrush! Stunning 4th floor 1 BR condo. Brand new floors, Brand New kitchen and fresh paint! Condo Amenities include pool, tennis court, playground, BBQ area and ample parking! Close to village, all transportation including Metro North RR. NO PETS!

Contact Karen Stroub today if you are interested in this beautiful Rental or many more in Westchester!
