Mission Viejo, California....A Great Place To Live. Real Estate Is Still Reasonable.

Mission Viejo, California....A Great Place To Live. Real Estate Is Still Reasonable.

A popular morning activity in Mission Viejo, California is a walk around the lake.....for exercise. Although many of these walks end at Bagels and Brew, the original intention of the walkers is good health. Well I guess good health could include a loaded bagel....at least for me.

What hit me today as I was running carpool and watching the walkers as they got their morning dose of fresh air.....is that most of them brought their dogs. I've even seen a kitty or two in the pet strollers....have we really gotten to the point where we walk our pets? I smiled as I realized that even our pets love the lifestyle in Mission Viejo. This morning the sun was climbing over the local mountains and Lake Mission Viejo was sparkling. Gazing out over the water you could see a few fishing boats already. The lake is stocked, so fishing is more about enjoying the activity, rather than deep skill.

I was joining the other carpoolers in taking my son to his school. He attends Newhart Middle School in the heart of Mission Viejo. My older children did as well. I love this school. One of the things my kids have enjoyed is music, and the Capistrano Valley Unified School District also places a value on it's music program. Newhart has 2 full time music teachers, 3 classes of band and 3 classes of orchestra. This commitment to an extracurricular program is not unusual for CAPOUSD which is one of the reasons families love moving to Mission Viejo.

I'm happy to say that more an more equity sellers are joining the list of homes for sale in Mission Viejo. Although prices are still very reasonable, these equity sellers bring value to the market. In general, these are homes which are well maintained. In addition, equity sellers can also make repairs and work with us in escrow as partners to solve problems. This goes a long way toward relieving the stress of buying a home.

Anyone considering a move to Southern California should consider a move to Mission Viejo. Mission Viejo has so much to offer for the entire family.
