"A little birdie told me sold!"

Thought someone would get a good laugh out of this one... Today while house hunting with a client I came out of the front door to lock up prior to leaving and out of the corner of my eye say something strange. The subject property has been vacant for over 8 months and someone has left the mail box open... Only to invite a bird to nest inside this mail box, from front to back this little bird had managed to build quiet a large nest inside. Enclosed in this terrific display of craftsmanship was 2 small white spotted eggs and one already hatched baby bird. It takes alot of break my guard however it was one of those silent, AWWW! Moments creating a great story for my clients to tell their kids and ended a terrific day of estate hunting.

Bet that was a day brightener! Wouldn't wish a house not to sell, but I hope the little birds have time to fly the coop before the mailman needs the space!

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for your story. Are the sellers charging the birds rent? It's good to know that the mailbox is being put to good use!

The Post Office does not allow third parties to use mail boxes. The local union bosses will take care of this problem......
