Windrose Earth Day Activity

A Shredding Day was held on April 17th for the Windrose subdivision.  The day was perfect as it was overcast so everyone was cool.  Over 60 homes took part in the event with others calling later as they had not noticed the times.  The best part of this event is that all of this material will be recycled to help save the environment.

The resident’s of Windrose thought this was a great event and had nothing but positive things to say.  Many took full advantage of the video equipment that the truck has installed to watch their valuable information ground to shreds by Shred Pro Services here in Houston.  Everyone was pretty happy to see years of tax returns, bills and even credit cards thoroughly destroyed before their eyes.

The event was sponsored by Studebaker Orthodontics who has numerous clients in Windrose, the Windrose Golf Club and myself, a Realtor who lives and works in Windrose.  Suggestions for future events include a combined shredding and toxic waste (paint and other household items) collection.  I will present this idea to the Board of Directors of Windrose who had approved the use of the Windrose Club house grounds for this community event.

Thank you to Nancy Axt and Lynn Lillegard from Studebaker Orthodontics for making sure each participant left with a reusable grocery bag and to the Windrose Golf Club for supporting their neighborhood.

This is pretty fun! I wonder if the child orthodontics in Omaha would do something like this. It doesn't have to be shredding, although I know quite a few people who have a lot of things they need shredded and don't know where to take it other than purchasing their own shredder or doing it by hand. I'll have to check around. http://www.pedodonticspc.com/services.html

Does the new federal health care happen to cover any of the orthodontist in edmonton? or is it considered more cosmetic so it is not?
