Million Dollar Homes in Columbus? Where.

Ohio tends to have a reputation as being a cow town. We will never shake that vision, but I can help sharpen the picture a little with some recent real estate sales statistics.

Statistics show (source Columbus Board of Realtors) that there were actually 58 homes SOLD for $1,000,000 or more in the Columbus, Ohio area within the past 12 months.

That is an average of one home per week for over $1,000,000! And the great news is that there is no one area in particular to find these high priced homes.

Another interesting statistic is that the average days on the market was 180 and the average sold price was 105% of the asking price. Not all price points can claim the same stats, but it's just nice to hear some good news with all the Bad News Bears reporting constantly about how bad the market is EVERYwhere. I prefer to think more positively about things. Can't hurt.

Here is the breakdown of the most expensive home sold in Columbus, Ohio through the MLS in the last 12 months:

7 Bedrooms
8 Baths
15,000 Square Feet
$1,073.22 per square foot

Plenty of room for cows.
