I talk to many people who seem to think that listing their home to sell in the fall and winter is a bad time.  Not so!  Fall and Winter are great times to showcase your home and have it stand out when there is typically not as many homes for it to compete against.  Home Buyers during these times of year are normally more serious in the fact that they are probably making a necessary move vs.an elective move.  People typically try to coordinate the winter break at the end of the year to move children from one school to another.  This means that they are looking for homes now, not then because escrows typically take 30-60 days to close once a contract is agreed upon by both buyers and sellers.

The changing seasons also offer a beautiful backdrop in "dressing" your home's curb appeal.  Think of how a home nestled in the changing colors of leaves can enhance both the exterior AND interior views of your home.  Open those blinds and let the colors in!  Holiday decorations also lead to curb appeal enhancement.  Buyers really like to have it all laid out in front for them.  It helps them to see themselves living in your house.  Once they buy into that, they typically have "bought the house" in their mind.  The rest is just minor details....:)
