Brookline Emergency Awareness & Preparedness Breakfast Hosted on Wednesday

Do you know what to do in the event of an emergency or natural disaster in Brookline? Find out here.

The Brookline Chamber of Commerce and the Brookline Police Department are hosting an Emergency Awareness and Preparedness Breakfast at the Holiday Inn at 1200 Beacon Street at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5. The cost of the event is $25, $5 of which is donated to Team Brookline.

“This should be a wonderful presentation on Brookline preparedness, awareness and several great take aways: Like signing up for the Town's new reverse 911 mass notification system, how to prepare to-go kits, info on how to get involved as a volunteer with the CERT and MRCs and more. Members of the BPD Special Response Team will be recognized for their work during/after the Boston Marathon bombings, as well as local businesses who helped on Marathon day,” Officer Casey Hatchett said.

Mel Kleckner, Town Administrator, Police Chief Daniel O’Leary, Officer Casey Hatchet, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Officer Peter Muise, Special Response Team will each speak to the group about emergency readiness.
