I am a shutter-bug! I have openly talked about it in previous tech posts.
My admiration for still photos began many years ago when old covers of National Geographic, Time and Rolling Stone passed me by. Then as my real estate career developed, I learned that homes are visual treats that when photographed can bring out hidden treasures that are sometimes missed in showings and busy open houses.
Recently, I have begun uploading to http://picasaweb.google.com/AzusaRotarian
a compilation of my photos (real estate related and not) and since then I have received a steady stream of kudos and critiques of other photo junkies who share my passion.
So why is this important in a real estate forum? Well its important because my hobby helps me identify and work for a demographic of artists who have housing needs. I didn't intend for that to happen and I will continue to share photos for the love of it, but its nice to get viable leads as a result of other interests.
Therefore, if you have a hidden talent, why not share it with the world and carry a stack of business cards? You may find that your blogging, kayaking, bull riding, etc. may help you find a buyer or a seller you would have never talked to while wearing your REALTOR hat.
P.S. If you check out my photos...feel free to comment. I would love to hear what you think.
