Bennett Valley, Santa Rosa, in September 2011

What a glorious time of year this is in Bennett Valley!  The air already has that edge to it, so, though we know the Indian Summer will be here soon, we also know that fall has arrived.

If you are a Bennett Valley resident or thinking of living here, we are enjoying the last of the blooming Amaryllis Belladonna, also known as Naked Ladies.  They are hot pink, tall, beautiful trumpet-shaped lilies that grow wild, in bunches, along the roadside.  They signal the end of summer.

Another event to be aware of if you are in Bennett Valley, is that these are the last few weeks to be able to pick blackberries that grow so abundantly on the sides of roads, in public parks and next to the creekbeds.

If you will be selling your home in Bennett Valley or if you would like to buy one here, please call me, Hilary O'Rourke, Realtor at Keller Williams.  I can be reached at (707) 545-6555 or by email at hilary@ilovesonomacounty.com

I also have a website www.BennettValleySantaRosa.com.
