In 1993 my wife and I returned from Europe where I had been teaching music with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. We lived first in Wilmot, NH and now in Lebanon, NH.  My wife Nancy and I often talk about how fortunate we are.  The Dartmouth/Upper Valley area, on both sides of the Connecticut River in NH and VT, has so much to offer. It is unusual to have so many amenities in a rural area.  We are blessed with natural beauty, cultural amenities like those provided by Hanover's Dartmouth College and New London's Colby Sawyer College,  the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, the Upper Valley Community Band, North Country Community Theatre, AVA Art Center, etc. We have superior medical facilities with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Alice Peck Day Hospital and New London Hospital. There are excellent school systems and we are blessed with ethnic and cultural diversity. There are fine, fine people living here. In my job as a REALTOR, I hear over and over again: "People are so friendly here." Yep.  Good place.  On my real estate site, http://www.HalSheeler.com you can find information not only on real estate but about this area that I love.  Cheers, Hal
