Philips recently debuted IntelliPower to 50W led flood light the towers on Bostons iconic Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge with intelligent, color-changing LED lighting fixtures from Philips Color Kinetics. With the push of the mouse button, the Massachusetts Department of transportation can alter the colours and concentration of the lights along with display dynamic, color-changing light shows, while at the same time reducing energy consumption by greater than 80% in the previously installed conventional lighting system. Furthermore, because IntelliPower uses the wiring and fixture mounting points already for the bridge, the Massachusetts Dot also saved cash on the installation.
