Introducing the Veterans to Real Estate Professionals Program!
Monday, February 11, 2013

This month, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers ATLANTA is proud to introduce the new “Veterans to Real Estate Professionals (REP)” program aimed at assisting veterans with starting a new career as a real estate agent. This new program offers special incentives – scholarships and exclusive training – to help veterans transition from military to civilian life and begin the next phase in their life.

The BHGRE Metro Brokers “Veterans to REP” program is open to all branches of the military including the National Guard, Reserve and Veterans. The program provides recruits with a full scholarship that covers the cost of Real Estate School and the first 6 months of real estate expenses with BGHRE Metro Brokers, an investment of more than $3,000 in each recruit!

“Veterans are hardworking, disciplined and persistent men and women who have the skillset to find a successful career in real estate. We want to assist them with the transition utilizing the unique training, technology and marketing benefits only available at BHGRE Metro Brokers. This program also gives back to people that we believe have sacrificed a lot for our country. They deserve our ‘thanks’.”

The program has already generated a great amount of interest. In only two weeks, 30 veterans have signed up for the program.

As part of the program, new recruits will be placed in the successful X-Celerater program which consists of a series of intensive, hands-on mentorship and coaching sessions with members of Broker Support, the marketing department and the IT Help Desk. The X-celerater program includes marketing advice and implementation, innovative technology and free real estate leads, and is available for all agents.

Input From Actual Veterans

Prior to launching the “Veteran to REP” program, we invited several active and retired military personnel to a round table discussion regarding the program. The response was incredibly positive.

“The training and support in the Veterans to REP program provides an exceptional opportunity for success,” said Major Calvin S. Posner, President of Georgia Federal/Military Retiree Coalition, Inc. “Officers and senior NCOs will find a home in which their organizational and leadership skills and experience will be welcomed.”

John Walsh, a BHGRE Metro Brokers sales associate out of the North Fulton office, is an Army Veteran that has found success in real estate. "In the military, I gained honesty and integrity,” said Walsh. “I learned how to make a commitment and keep to it. I’m self-motivated, driven by internal fortitude and self-confidence. All of these traits apply directly to real estate. I’m here because President and CEO Kevin Levent provided me with a turn-key opportunity to create the career I wanted. You can, too. With the same effort you have demonstrated while you were in service, you grow your own company, achieve your financial and personal goals, and have a little fun along the way!”

Signing Up!

BHGRE Metro Brokers launched a website at www.VeteransToREP.com, which includes in-depth information on the program as well as a sign-up sheet, and is also launching a variety of social networking pages on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to encourage veterans to learn about the program and network with military members who are now real estate professionals in Georgia. Veterans can also contact a member of BHGRE Metro Brokers’ career development department by calling 404.843.2500. Or call one of our Agents, like Emily Peker.
