Bidding Wars are Back in Naples

Due to tremendous interest in their new project named Camden Lakes on Livingston Road, Pulte Homes announced they have decided to offer home sites through a bidding process in order to avoid a lottery.  According to the sales brochure Pulte Homes wants “to provide a fair process that will allow everyone to have an opportunity to select the home site of their choice.”

As longtime residents of Naples, we feel this approach may present difficulties for buyers.  Pulte claims they have 1200 potential buyers on a wait list, but after seeing the crowd respond today to the announcement of the bidding process, questions of fairness abound.

In any case, these bidding wars are sure to help increase home prices in the area to their true value.  Neighboring communities, such as Delasol, that were built at the peak of the housing bubble in 2006-2007 will now fully recover with big thanks to the bidding process taking place next door in Camden Lakes.

The uptown Girls thank Pulte Homes for contributing to the health of the resale housing market in North Naples.

Naples isn't the only place! I have experienced a similar scenario in Estero and South Fort Myers.
